Facial Aesthetics at Cherrybank Dental Spa, with offices in Perth and Edinburgh

Cherrybank Dental Spa has carried out facial aesthetic procedures on patients in Perth and Edinburgh since 2003.  It has grown in popularity since then and has become an extension of the dentistry we do today. We have a team of dedicated facial aesthetic practitioners who deliver this treatment. As part of our normal practice, we administer dental injections daily and have an advanced knowledge of facial anatomy to which is paramount when delivering cosmetic injections.  

We adhere to a strict confidentiality code of conduct.

 

Prior to each treatment a comprehensive initial consultation will be carried out. This includes

·         Full medical history.

·         An evaluation of treatment needs to find out our patients concerns and goals, each treatment plan will be specific to the individuals needs and wants.

·         Full explanation of what the treatment procedure will be given.

·         A series of consent forms will be given to read, complete and sign prior to treatment, they will be fully discussed and any questions you have will be answered.

·         Series of photographs will be taken- before and after treatment (following patients consent.)

 

Treatments that we provide:

Wrinkle reduction using Botulinum Toxin type A –

 

Wrinkle reduction is a straight forward procedure that can have remarkable results in improving the wrinkles resulting from hyperactive facial muscles. It is used to treat frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead lines and 'crow’s feet' around the eyes.  It can also be done in the lower face and neck region to reduce lines and weaken muscles that contribute to sagging skin.

The muscle relaxant is injected with a very fine needle in the areas of concern. The actual procedure doesn’t take longer than 20mins therefore can be done in your lunch hour! After the injection, the muscles will relax and the skin will smooth itself out over a period of 5 - 14 days. The effect usually lasts about three to four months initially and can be repeated when needed. Most patients require less frequent treatments over time. The result is a softer, more relaxed and pleasant appearance.

Dermal Fillers – Juvederm

Are non-surgical cosmetic treatments used to bring a more youthful appearance by restoring volume or fullness to the face and lips. They work by reducing or eliminating lines, wrinkles and folds in the skin.

 Our injectable dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that exists naturally within the body.  The actual treatment usually takes thirty minutes and lasts between six to nine months, with the effects being seen immediately.

Medical Grade Chemical Peels –

Chemical Peels involve the careful application of a chemical exfoliant to the epidermis of the skin, specifically for the removal of superficial lesions and blemishes. Chemical Peels improve fine lines & wrinkles, uneven skin tone, shallow acne scarring, sun damaged skin, age spots, and sagging/ageing skin. Product range is Dermaceutic and Innovation Concept Peel.

Mask Peel -30% Glycolic Acid- superficial-depth peel

Milk Peel - 50% Glycolic Acid, 10% Lactic Acid & 4% Salicylic Acid- superficial/medium                                                                       

TCA Peel – 15% and 18% Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) - medium-depth peel

We will also advise you about skin care including sun protection and moisturisers.
