The Zoom!® Teeth Whitening Procedure
Zoom!® Teeth Whitening, performed at our Perth practice convenient to Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland, gently removes stains, transforming your smile. During the Zoom!® teeth whitening procedure, our dental technician will cover your sensitive lips and gums so that only your teeth are exposed. We will then apply the Zoom!® patented whitening gel to your teeth and brighten your teeth using the special Zoom!® activating light. The Zoom!® light and gel work together to break up and lift stains from your teeth gently during three 15-minute sessions. During the procedure, many of our patients enjoy one of our dental spa treatments, such as a foot massage or a paraffin hand wax. After your treatment, the results of your Zoom!® teeth whitening procedure will last for a long time and can be maintained by general dentistry and routine cleanings.
Candidates for Teeth Whitening
If you have yellow, stained teeth, you may be a candidate for teeth whitening at our Scotland practice. Certain foods and beverages such as soda, coffee, tea, and wine can wreak havoc on the color of your teeth, leaving them noticeably discolored. Smoking and other forms of tobacco use may also permanently discolour teeth. Those patients with healthy teeth who would like brighter smiles generally make excellent candidates for whitening. Pregnant women, patients under the age of 16, and people with dental restorations will not be candidates for Zoom!® teeth whitening. If you would prefer not to use the Zoom!® system, or if you are not a candidate for this type of laser whitening, we have other teeth whitening procedures that may be appropriate for you.
